As a follow on from our successful engagement sessions previously regarding works at the River Dove, you will recall there was an additional closure discussed, to complete essential maintenance works. These works require a full A50 Westbound closure at the A515 Ashbourne Junction, replacing a damage
We are in a position to confirm the go-ahead of these works, taking place on weekend of 19th September, with a full weekend shut down, as per details below. You will also recall, to address concerns highlighted that traffic will not follow designated diversion routes, we would include provision of a police vehicle as a deterrent to drivers who deviate from the planned diversion.
Friday 19th September 20:00 – Monday 22nd September 05:00.
We are working with our contractors, to seek efficiencies where possible, and the police, to provide assurances for the weekend shut down. The dates above are inclusive of contingencies, however, where possible we will open the road at the earliest, safest opportunity, subject to material curing.
These works will be reviewed nearer the time based upon the updated forecast that leads into the weekend next week, as these works subject to a suitable forecast.
